You must like putting in a busy and full day at work which may involve plated private dining, banqueting, and conferences and in our Brasserie and Café-Bar. You will work with and as directed by the Head Chef to help ensure the Kitchen plays its vital part in ensuring the Health and Safety of our product and our team. Actions and responsibilities

  •       Preparing food efficiently and contributing imaginatively to menu ideas and plans.
  •       Ensuring the consistent practice of all operating standards and requirements in the kitchen
  •       To assist with the cleaning of food production areas and equipment as directed by the Executive Chef.
  •       Liaising with the Executive Chef with regard to customer feedback, food quality, food presentation,                 stock levels, wastage, ordering etc.
  •       To ensure regular positive, co-operative communication with management and staff.
  •       To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Executive Chef to achieve the objectives             and targets of the Kitchen operation.

Our ideal new Team member… As our next Chef De Partie you will have some experience within similar establishments, preferably as a Chef De Partie.  Comprehensive NVQs or City and Guilds in catering are desirable, and training in health and hygiene and an understanding of COSHH are essential. A Basic food hygiene qualification would be the minimum accepted with any application. The successful candidate will be hardworking with a passion for food and cooking.  A sound knowledge in all areas of a kitchen operation is essential as is the need to be able to cope well under pressure.  You should be an effective team player, and an enthusiastic all-rounder who will enjoy the opportunity to be trained. There is overtime available with this role.
