Experiential Assessment Specialist, £33,094 PA, Hybrid 1-2 days per week in Westminster

Department:  Qualifications Team, Membership Division

Reporting To: Education, Learning and Assessment Manager

Salary: £33,094 PA

Location:  8 Storeys Gate/Home based - typically 1-2 days per week in the office, after initial training. 

Hours:  36.25 hours per week

Holiday:  23 + 2 fishing days per year

The role:

We are seeking a dedicated Experiential Assessment Specialist to oversee and manage all aspects of Experiential Learning, the ICE Further Learning Exam, Member Assessment and Career Appraisal processes. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting our members’ professional growth and development.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Provide advice and guidance to members and potential members on academic qualifications, graduate membership, Retrospective IPD, Further Learning Exams and Experiential Learning options, ensuring adherence to policy and data protection requirements.
  • Manage the processing of applications and ensure results are issued within agreed timelines.
    Confirm and implement ICE policy and procedures.
  • Organise and prioritise your workload, while providing day-to-day support to staff allocated to this area.
    Provide secretariat support to panels, sub-committees and working groups, including the Experiential Learning and ICE Further Learning Exam panels.
  • Identify and train assessors and script markers and arrange and maintain assessment and examination processes.
  • Administer the online or physical ICE Further Learning Exam as required, including travel to other venues.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with membership staff and stakeholders.
    Process members’ expenses through the Focal Point system in line with ICE guidelines.

We’re seeking a professional who thrives in a busy environment and has the following:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent customer service skills and administrative experience in a team-oriented office environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines efficiently.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using databases.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with SharePoint and Dynamics365.
  • Experience setting up meetings on Microsoft Teams.
  • Knowledge of Power BI for reporting and analysis.
